Things to See and Do
Rainbow Beach has been described as the next Noosa but has a more relaxed environment. It is the gateway
to the beautiful 'world heritage listed' Fraser Island. There are opportunities to do as much or as little as
you like.
Activities include:
- Hang Gliding
- Horse Riding
- Tennis
- Golf
- Bike Riding
- Fishing
- Bush Walking
- 4 Wheel Driving (on the beach or in the bush).
Why not make the trip up along the beach from Noosa and visit the coloured sands and the Cherry
Venture; join a tour of Fraser Island; or just simply come and enjoy the new restaurants and eateries now
available in this area.

Where it is

Getting There
Rainbow Beach is located 2 1/2 hours north of Brisbane. Follow the Bruce Highway to Gympie. Turn
east as you enter Gympie and follow the signs to Rainbow Beach. Alternatively you can catch a bus from the
Brisbane Transit Centre.
If you own a 4-wheel drive you may chose to travel north along the beach from Tewantin near Noosa, or
take the scenic drive through the State Forest National Park and past some of Cooloola's waterways. It is
advisable to seek further information from the relevant authorities before travelling these routes.
